I had a rough start to my life. The nice folks at Stray Paws Adoptables saved me from a high kill shelter in Memphis TN after all my babies were adopted, but I was not. I was heartworm positive, very confused and in a very scary situation.
My foster Mama and Daddy saw me through heartworm treatment and I finally tested negative for baby heartworms in my blood. I will need to be tested again in November to make sure they are all gone, but with regular heartworm preventative for the rest of my life, I should be good to go!!
I am a sweet rambunctious bundle of love. I’m very happy playing in the yard. I particularly love playing tug of war with rope toys, or just playing with them all on my own. I also love playing in the baby pool with my rope toy all at the same time!! It’s so fun!
I do well in my crate, although a sturdier one such as a Kong brand crate is recommended for me. I’m very smart and was able to break out of a less sturdy wire crate when I first came here. Now that I can resume normal doggy activities, I think I would love an active family who can keep me challenged with regular walks, and I would probably be really good at agility type of activities because I am very agile and like to jump. I will need someone who is patient with me to help me work on my manners and possibly adult only or with older children. I can get a bit nippy and jumpy when I’m excited. I would probably also like a high energy, friendly doggy friend who doesn’t mind playing rough with an appropriate introduction.
I am very loving and enjoy pets and kisses after I calm down, and am also very beautiful, or at least that’s what I’m told by my foster parents. They will miss me and I was told that tears will be shed when I leave, but they both want the very best for me. I need someone who will love me and who I can love with all my heart. Could that be you?
